The kids will always track mud through the house (no matter how many times you tell them not to), but you can make your life a lot easier by preparing for it. What’s the solution? Invest in a good front doormat. Don’t settle for a thin, shabby rug …or worse, a towel. That’s a lot of needless work for you to maintain. It’s a lot more efficient to stop at a hardware store and pick up a heavy duty door mat that actually enjoys being walked all over.
Like the one below. You won’t have to wash it as often, and when you do, all it needs is a couple minutes of hosing down, or a few buckets of water dashed over it. Good for the 9-to-5 worker on the go!
